Whenever you receive an email or letter parcel asking for information regarding your domain and you are unsure about it, don’t hesitate to contact us for clarification. These emails are created to scare you into providing personal information without investigating. They use words and phrases like ‘final’, ‘failure to pay’, ‘failure to reply’, ‘and immediate attention required’. These are all used to trigger the fear of the unknown. Always remember to take some extra steps to verify when your personal information is requested.

As a pre-caution remember these few tips to ensure you never get caught with these domain name phishing scams.

1. We will never parcel mail you a domain renewal form.
2. We will never ask you to pay in an email
   I. Any renewal or payments are automatically setup when you purchase your domain for the first time.
3. We will address you by your full name
   I. We will never address you as ‘valued customer’, ‘domain owner’, ‘valued subscriber’, ‘emailaddress’, or ‘Sir/Madam’
4. We will never ask you to fill out a downloadable document
   I. We will never ask you to download a pdf or any other document and request you sending in payment via cheque or money order
   II. All payments are done via our secure website using credit or Paypal.
5. When in doubt check it out
   I. Do a little investigating, check the email address in the from field. Does it contain multiple .coms or .xyzs example: [e-mail], does it match the site the email is intended from?
   II. Are there any spelling or grammatical mistakes?
   III. Any request to navigate to a domain should redirect to the following: https://www.secureserver.net/?prog_id=slkitsolutions&ci=41748

Our emails always contain our company name, your customer number, your full name and links to our direct domain store where all your payment information is already held. You can always verify your domain expiry by logging into our domain store at https://www.slkitsolutions.com/domains
